Capt. Amarjeet Vidyarthi, Managing Director
Capt. Vidyarthi is a Master Mariner with over 55 years’ experience spanning both ships as well as shore operations and has spent the major part of his professional career in the recruitment and management of shipboard personnel. Over 35 years ago, he pioneered the recruitment of Indian hotel staff for the international cruise industry. He set up the present organization in 1996 specializing in recruitment for the hospitality industry both in India and abroad (including cruise lines) and in 1998, also set up India’s first specialized culinary training institution in advanced continental cuisine.
Indrani Vidyarthi, Director
Mrs. Vidyarthi has a career spanning over 45 years in hotels (in both operations and marketing functions), travel & tourism, and market research. She oversees the administration, marketing and corporate communications for the company.
Laveeniya Saldanha, Executive Director – Operations, Mumbai
Based in Mumbai, Ms. Saldanha is a Hotel & Hospitality Administration graduate from IHM Goa, and also holds a Diploma in Human Resource Management. Prior to joining INDUS in 2015 as Recruitment Executive, she had worked with The Leela, Goa, and Akshar Recruitment Consultancy, Mumbai.
Bimal Bodaji, Director – Training and Business Development
Mr. Bodaji has spent over 22 years with Carnival Cruise Lines, where, as Sr. Maitre D’Hotel, he oversaw the entire F&B service operations on board, which also included training. Prior to that he had worked in high-end resorts and clubs in Dubai. He holds of an Associate Degree in Hotel Management from Sophia Polytechnic, Mumbai, a BA in Sociology, Public Administration and Political Science from Osmania University, and several Professional Development, Leadership, and Train the Trainer Certificates from Johnson & Wales University and Carnival College of Management.
Anthony Gaskell, Regional Director – Goa
Mr. Gaskell is a British national who has spent over 17 years managing an international shipping line based in India. With experience in various commercial functions, he has worked in the UK, Saudi Arabia, India and UAE, and currently resides in Goa. He is a graduate of the prestigious Cambridge University in the UK.
Nivea Rodrigue, Sr. Manager – Processing
Since joining Indus in 2005 with a strong background in administration, Ms. Rodrigues has been handling the processing of new crew members from recruitment till departure.
S. T. Vinodkumar, Principal – Indus Institute, Chennai & Director – South
Mr. Vinodkumar has 24 years of experience in academics, hotel & catering operations, event management, and professional hotel consultancy, backed by a Post Graduate in Hotel Management from Annamalai University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management from Alagappa University. He has worked with Carnival Cruise Lines as Asst. Food Operations Manager, and in various positions with hotels like the Taj Savoy at Ooty and The Carlton Kodaikanal. He has also been a teaching faculty at Canan School of Catering & Hotel Management, Chennai, Asan Memorial College, Chennai, Niraj College of Hotel Management, Hyderabad.
He is a certified Lead Auditor of Food Safety Management System (FSMS) and an active member of the South India Chefs Association (SICA), Indian Federation of Culinary Association (IFCA ), and World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS).
Chef Venkatesan Janakiraman, Manager – Recruitment
A graduate of SRM Institute of Hotel Management, Chennai and a certified Chef by WACS (World Association of Chefs’ Societies), Chef has over 17 years of industry and teaching experience, including 7 years with Carnival Cruise Lines and Oceania Cruises and more recently, as a senior instructor at The Indus Institute. He has also worked at ITC Grand Kakatiya Sheraton, Hyderabad, Medici Restaurant, Bangalore, as Head Chef, Palm Meadows Resort, Bangalore, as Senior Sous Chef, and as Executive Sous Chef with Sodexo Food Solutions Pvt Ltd, Chennai.
Suchitra Signapurkar, Manager – Goa
Ms. Signapurkar, with a BA degree in English, has a wide range of experience in sales, marketing and recruitment having worked with TGS Projects, HDFC Bank and Max New York Life Insurance.
Sasikala, Manager – Processing
Ms. Sasikala is an Economics graduate from the University of Madras with over 20 years’ administrative experience with Amezing Media and Unitech engineering Company and has been working at Indus for 16 years.
Sangeetha Dinesh, Admin Manager & Instructor
A graduate from Canan School of Catering and Hotel Management, Ms. Sangeetha has over 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry and academia. She is a certified trainer for housekeeping and front office by the American Hotel and Lodging Association. She has previously worked as a facilities management professional at Hotel Residency Chennai & Sterling Infotech and has been a lecturer and placement coordinator with Canan School of Catering and Hotel Management.
Soumitra Sengupta, Assistant Manager – Guwahati
Mr. Sengupta, a graduate in Science from Sikkim Manipal University, has had a successful career in strategic planning and sales of life insurance products in the North East states.
